The Study Event will advance work on Lacan’s Seminar X through contributions from cartels engaged in its reading, informed by Christian Fierens’ seminars (January–June 2025) and Patricia McCarthy’s 2024 translation of his ‘A Reading of Anxiety'. Over two days, four roundtable sessions will feature 5–6 interventions (10-15 minutes each), followed by discussions. Contributors will engage with questions arising from the reading of Seminar X, fostering dialogue to deepen understanding of the question of anxiety in contemporary clinical practice. Attendees may also contribute to discussions. Please see the attached flier for more information.

It will be the first ISLP study day to take place in-person since 2020, and is a free event open to all those with an interest in Lacanian psychoanalysis.

The day will consist of papers presented by those participating in ISLP cartels over the year 2021 - 2022, the programme for which will be circulated closer to the time.
